AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM by Kung Fu Heroes

 

The Kung Fu Heroes together with A.C.E., brings a one-of-a-kind after school program that helps sharpen young minds, by promoting unity and friendship, while teaching children the benefits of discovering the hero within.

 

How can this program benefit students?

 

An effective student is one who understands that life is not a free-for-all. An effective student knows to get their homework done even if their favorite T.V. show is on. In order to get good grades there is a structure that must be followed. The trait necessary to achieve this is discipline. The structered training of martial arts helps to develop this discipline which in turn helps the student to learn order and self-control.

 

With technology and entertainment available to kids today it is difficult to get them to focus. But in order to be an effective student, they must learn how to listen and not get distracted by their surroundings, whether they be external (classmates playing around) or internal (negative thoughts and doubts).

 

Physical activities build cognitive functions. Researchers have shown a positive link between physical activities and better cognitive function. By giving children an outlet to move their bodies, their academics and social skills improve.

 

Who is teaching the program?

 

Our staff are all elite members of the International Action Team "Kung Fu Heroes" who have showcased their skills on film, television and stage for Tina Turner, Jackie Chan, Cirque Du Soleil and America's Got Talent!

 

Members of the Kung Fu Heroes have been invited to teach martial arts culture and philosophy for Elementary Schools, High Schools, Colleges and even Fortune 500 Companies throughout the world, including: Chile, France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, China and North America.

 

The Kung Fu Heroes mission is to unite like-minded individuals seeking to become "Heroes" and positive role models in their local and worldwide communities. Our team believes that we all hold the power within ourselves to be an inspiration and to be a hero.

 

The ACE program is a high quality district-wide program that provides opportunities for students in elementary and middle schools to participate in classes that are both fun and academic while staying in their school environment. 

 

Where do the heroes come from?

 

The Kung Fu Heroes quarters is located at South Coast Martial Arts in Costa Mesa. For over 20 years, SCMA has been a leader in the martial arts industry, recognized for excellence in teaching and the development of youth in local communties.
